Ric Hughen’s thirty years of experience in the life science industry span three start-ups (two exits), a mid-cap and three Fortune 500 companies. He is currently CEO of Cellth Systems, a start-up developing a personalized medicine approach to identifying the ideal drug for oncology patients. Ric founded Life Science Planning, a strategic consultancy focused on early stage and emerging growth companies. He was on the executive team that built start-up CSA Medical from a technology license (Navy), through product development, clinical trials, five FDA clearances, CE mark, funding ($50M) and into a profitable commercial business. Ric was Managing Director of start-up, LearnWare, which was successfully built and sold to a private equity fund. Ric also led various management and marketing teams for BD, J&J, Abbott, and Cordis. Ric holds MBA and BS degrees from The Pennsylvania State University. When not working, he is typically outside training for triathlon competition.
